When twenty-one-year-old Theo Morgan tends the garden his mother once loved, he doesn’t expect time itself to rupture around him. Mirrored hands reach through a storm to claim him, a voice that sounds like his missing father Elias calls out- “Come find me” -and a golden light intervenes. The event pulls Theo, his older brother Robert, and their lifelong friend Lisa into a journey beyond Earth, into realms where time and memory are alive.
Guided by Stig, a mysterious being with bark-like skin, and Nyra, a Threadbinder who understands the fabric of existence, the trio discover Feylock: the living lattice that binds emotion, memory, and time. But their father’s final experiment fractured it, drawing the gaze of Chronovare- The Supreme Being. A mirrored entity that seeks to strip chaos and love from creation in favor of absolute control.
To heal the damage, Theo, Robert, and Lisa must recover three ancient Tools: the Hourglass Root, the Temporal Compass, and the Fragment of the River of Time and use them to restore the balance of the Seasonal Realms. Along the way, they encounter Guardians of Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter; face shadows of their pasts and possible futures; and witness realms unraveling under the weight of distortion. Each Tool resonates with them personally: Theo’s empathy, Robert’s willpower, and Lisa’s intuition.
Their path leads through wonders and terrors: cities of trapped souls, timeless forests, a reversed realm, and lakes that open to worlds beyond. At the heart of Chronovare’s citadel, Virelux, they discover Elias Morgan, Theo and Robert’s father, forced to construct a machine that could grant Chronovare dominion over all existence. In a final, desperate battle, the Tools, the Guardians, and the travelers unite.
This is a story of quantum entanglement and emotional gravity. Of portals and petals. Of fractured time and boundless hopes. Science becomes legend, and legend, truth. In worlds where time is not a line but a garden and where loss can echo across dimensions, the travelers must learn to wield wonder as deftly as they do logic. As their journey deepens, so too does their understanding of themselves, of each other, and of the choices they make.
Quantum Seasons is a 116,000-word adult/young adult fantasy novel blending lyrical world building with quantum theory, mythology, and emotional depth. The first of a trilogy, it will appeal to readers of His Dark Materials, The Wheel of Time, and The Broken Earth Trilogy as well as many other fantasy and fiction works.
From time to time, new chapters will be released. Check back often!

This book has been over fifteen years in the making. It began during long ferry rides across the sound after my divorce, when I would bring my daughters to and from visits. After picking them up or dropping them off, I would write on the return trip—ninety minutes of quiet creativity stolen from the rush of life. The writing continued in fragments: a chapter here, a few paragraphs there, sometimes months apart. Life, work, and parenting often took priority, and for a while, the manuscript sat untouched.
But over the past six months, I returned to it with renewed focus—stealing time in secret, writing in the middle of the night, early mornings, or during lunch breaks- whenever I found the time. No one even knew I was finishing a novel until just recently.
I sometimes joke that I feel like George R.R. Martin—working on a book for fifteen years—except HBO isn’t knocking on my door! But the story has grown, matured, and now it’s nearly ready. The cover is chosen, the chapters are complete, and while there are still a few inconsistencies to polish (what writer doesn’t have those?), the heart of the book is solid. It is now in the hands of several trusted beta readers, all of whom have deep backgrounds in fantasy as readers and writers.
And the ending? It sets the stage perfectly for Book Two—which is already outlined and ready to begin.
A little about me: I originally studied horticulture and landscape design in college before switching to marketing. After college, I ran a landscape design and installation company for eight years, then transitioned into the marketing world, eventually launching my own agency in 2010. Today, I still run that agency, creating content for dozens of clients each day.
Three years ago, my wife (a Master Gardener) and I co-founded a second business together—a landscape design company specializing in native and pollinator gardens—blending our passions for sustainability and beauty. We now run both businesses side by side.
Outside of writing, I love snowboarding, wake boarding, ice hockey, biathlon, and—of course—gardening. The Beatles are my all-time favorite, but my taste in music is wide and eclectic. We live on a lake in Connecticut and have three grown children who continue to inspire everything I do.
I am deeply inspired by stories like The Lord of the Rings (really, anything Tolkien!), His Dark Materials, The Wheel of Time, Ready Player One, A Song of Ice and Fire, Red Rising, Harry Potter, Tom Sawyer, and so many more.
