Nyra

Full Name: Nyra, The Threadbinder

Race: Mixed heritage. Part human, part of an ancient, timeless race once entwined with the flow of Feylock

Age: Appears late 20s to early 30s (true age unknown but at least 100+ years old)

Title/Role: Threadbinder, Wanderer, Keeper of Subtle Connections, Healer. One of five bound by fate, traveling the fractured realms in search of Chronovare and the chance to end his dominion.

Alignment: Neutral Good

Realm Affinity: Feylock itself (not tied to a single realm, but resonates with the liminal spaces between them)

Home: The Weeping Grove

Weapon: A slender sword, simple and elegant, sheathed in a vine-wrapped scabbard at her side, trace infused Feylock

Personality:

Calm, perceptive, and quietly powerful. Speaks rarely but with weight and clarity when she does. Radiates ancient wisdom mixed with quiet compassion. Appears to understand the flow of fate but refuses to manipulate it forcefully. Emotionally reserved, but clearly forms deep bonds

Backstory: Descended from a forgotten people who once studied the balance of  Feylock, Nyra embodies the balance between fate and free will. A seeker of knowledge along with Stig and Asha, she diverged from their trio when Asha turned to Chronovare. She has wandered many realms, stitching together broken timelines and helping those affected by distortions. Her presence is sometimes foretold in fractured realities "a woman who moves like memory, and speaks as if time listens."

Abilities:

  • Threadbinding: Can sense and weave emotional and temporal threads between people, places, and events

  • Feylock Sensitivity: Can manipulate small disturbances or read distortions in time and space

  • Resonance Reading: Her fingertips pulse when near emotionally charged anomalies, Tools, or fractures

  • Swordsmanship: Precise and fluid. Her swordplay is more like a ritual than battle

  • Memory Craft: Can evoke past or potential memories in others to help guide decisions

Symbolism:

  • Nyra represents intuition, balance, and unspoken wisdom
  • She is a reminder that not all power must be loud, and not all paths are linear
  • Like threads in a tapestry, her actions often seem small until their patterns are revealed later

Chronovare

Title: The Supreme Being, Lord of Stillness, Master of Feylock
Type: Antagonist / Cosmic Force
Role in Story: Central antagonist; the architect of time's distortion and the multiverse’s unraveling. Chronovare is not simply a villain, but a metaphysical embodiment of control without emotion.

Appearance

• Form: Towering and genderless, wrapped in mirrored plates that reflect a viewer’s deepest fears. Its limbs move in unnatural, gliding motions as though time bends around them.

• Face: A featureless mask with only two obsidian eyes, behind which galaxies spiral in eternal motion.

• Crown: Composed of golden Feylock threads, endlessly shifting and glowing faintly with cosmic light.

• Aesthetic: A being of symmetrical, divine machinery-beautiful but alien, unnerving in its flawlessness.

• Shifting Nature: Chronovare’s form can adapt to subconscious fears and desires of those who look upon it, making its presence psychologically destabilizing.

Personality and Philosophy

• Personality: Cold, logical, and composed, Chronovare does not rage or gloat. It calculates, analyzes, and enforces.

• Belief: Chaos is the flaw in all existence. Emotion is an error. Chronovare believes in reshaping the multiverse into a perfected order, stripped of unpredictability and feeling.

• View on Emotion: It sees love, grief, and hope as anomalies, dangerous glitches in the code of existence.

• Relationship to Time: Chronovare doesn’t experience time. It bends it, compresses it, rewrites it.

Abilities

• Temporal Mastery: Under the right conditions, manipulates time effortlessly and can pause, reverse, accelerate, or fracture it.

• Feylock Control: Controls partially corrupted Feylock (the fabric binding all realities) and uses it to trap souls, distort realms, and extract energy.

• Mirror Field: Its mirrored body reflects not just light, but thoughts, revealing inner fears, regrets, and doubts to paralyze foes.

• Soul Consumption: Feeds on the energy of trapped beings, particularly those caught in distorted realities like the City of Convergence.

• Illusory Presence: Can appear across dimensions as an echo or partial form, manipulating minds from afar.

Weaknesses

• Inability to Comprehend Emotion: Chronovare cannot understand love, sacrifice, or emotional resonance. It can mimic them, but not feel them.

• Dependency on Control: When things deviate from its plan, it cannot adapt quickly. Its power lies in precision, not chaos. In algorithms and data but not chance.

Stig

Full Name: Stig. He has no known surname; his given name carries the weight of his Seeker lineage
Race: Liminal-born bark-skinned, humanoid being of a mostly unknown, ancient and diminishing race. Shaped by Feylock’s resonance rather than by a single realm.
Age: Ageless in appearance, though he carries centuries of memory. It has been said that Seekers could have extraordinarily long lives.
Title/Role: Seeker of Feylock, Traveler, Guide and protector to all who seek balance in Feylock.
Alignment: Neutral Good. Seeks balance, wisdom, and preservation of time’s natural flow
Realm Affinity: Feylock itself. Stig is not tied to any single season but attuned to the liminal spaces between realms
Home: Nowhere permanent; wanders the thresholds between realms. Once dwelled in the deep Liminal Weald.
Weapon: The Seeker’s Brand - a four-foot hybrid of sword and staff, forged from Feylumen and veined with living obsidian. It glows faintly gold when moved, resonating with temporal energy, and can repel or stabilize distortions.

Personality

Serious, wise, and deliberate, Stig is both teacher and protector. He rarely jokes, though he understands humor when offered and smiles at times. He serves as a cautious guide, pointing out dangers and offering direction with a steady presence. His wisdom carries a grounding quality, but beneath his bark-like skin there lingers a shadow of old regrets, chiefly his past with Asha. He carries the air of someone who bears responsibility for truths few can withstand.

Backstory

Stig is one of the last known Seekers. Ancient watchers who study and traverse Feylock’s distortions to keep realms in balance. Once, he sought understanding alongside Asha and Nyra, studying time’s threads and the nature of Chronovare’s shadow. But when Asha turned toward the Supreme Being, Stig refused her path, severing a bond that has haunted him since. For the last several years, he has watched over Theo and Robert at the request of the Guardian of Spring.

Abilities

  • Feylock Sensitivity: Feels fractures, distortions, and resonances in Feylock before they fully manifest. His very skin vibrates when near corrupted energy.

  • Resonance Reading: Can “listen” to temporal threads, discerning where balance has been lost and where guidance is required.

  • Swordsmanship: His use of the Seeker’s Brand is precise, ritualistic, and fluid. His fighting is less brute force and more like a ceremony of balance, each strike a correction of imbalance.

  • Memory Craft: Able to stir echoes of past or potential futures in others. Not illusions, but fragments of what might guide choice or reflection. These visions are fleeting, never absolute.

Symbolism

  • Stig represents endurance, discipline, and the burden of knowledge.

  • He is a living reminder that wisdom often comes with scars, and that balance demands sacrifice.

  • His bark-like skin and liminal nature mark him as a bridge between humanity and the living fabric of Feylock.

  • Unlike Nyra, whose wisdom is intuitive and quiet, Stig’s presence is weight-bearing: the steady branch that does not bend easily, though storms have shaken it.

Asha

Full Name: Asha. Like Stig, she bears no known surname; her name alone carries the resonance of her former Seeker identity

Race: Liminal-born, bark-skinned humanoid of the same ancient and diminishing race as Stig, though her form carries a smoother texture and a faint inner shimmer of flowing light

Age: Ageless in appearance, with centuries of memory shaped by ambition, discovery, and transformation

Title/Role: Former Seeker of Feylock, now servant and instrument of the Supreme Being

Alignment: Chaotic Neutral tending toward Neutral Evil. Driven by power, control, and the belief that order must be imposed to restore balance

Realm Affinity: Once attuned to the liminal flow of Feylock, now partially bound to corrupted threads shaped by the will of the Supreme Being

Home: The City of Convergence, a fractured nexus of overlapping realities under her control

Weapon: The Riftspire (First Form) - a slender, fractured blade forged from obsidian-veined Feylumen, flickering with unstable violet energy. It tears at time itself in brief, violent fractures, though its power remains imperfect and volatile

Personality:

Asha is intense, intelligent, and commanding, with a presence that bends the atmosphere around her.

Where Stig is grounded, she is driven. Where he seeks balance, she seeks control. She speaks with clarity and conviction, often with a quiet certainty that borders on unsettling.

Beneath her pursuit of power lies a deeper truth: she once believed she was saving everything.

There are moments, rare and fleeting, where something softer surfaces. A memory, a hesitation, a fracture in her resolve. These glimpses reveal the person she once was, and the connection she has never fully severed, especially where Stig is concerned.

Backstory:

Asha was once a Seeker alongside Stig and Nyra, devoted to understanding Feylock and preserving the balance of time. She believed knowledge was the key to preventing collapse, and that through mastery, order could be restored to all realms.

That belief became her turning point.

When she encountered the Supreme Being, she saw not a threat, but an answer. It offered clarity, structure, and the promise of ultimate control over chaos. Where others saw danger, Asha saw purpose. She chose to follow it, believing she could rise beyond limitation and become a force capable of reshaping existence itself.

In doing so, she severed her bond with Stig, though not entirely. That fracture remains, unresolved and quietly powerful.

Now, she governs the City of Convergence, drawing beings into its layered realities, feeding the greater design she helped set in motion.

Abilities

  • Corrupted Feylock Manipulation: Asha can bend and fracture Feylock through force of will, creating localized distortions in time and space. Her control is powerful, but unstable, often leaving residual fractures behind.

  • Temporal Fracturing: Through the Riftspire, she can tear brief openings in time, disrupting movement, perception, and reality itself. These fractures are violent and unpredictable

  • Enhanced Combat Mastery: A highly skilled fighter, her movements are fast, precise, and aggressive. Unlike Stig’s balanced flow, her style overwhelms and destabilizes

  • Energy Convergence: Within the City of Convergence, her power amplifies. She can draw upon the layered realities and trapped energies, bending the environment itself to her will.

Symbolism

  • Asha represents the seduction of power and the danger of believing control is the same as balance.

  • She embodies the idea that good intentions, when driven too far, can become something unrecognizable.

  • Her connection to Stig reflects the fracture between two paths: one of patience and harmony, the other of force and certainty.

  • Where Stig is the steady branch, Asha is the fire that seeks to reshape the forest.

  • She is not simply a villain, but a fallen reflection of what a Seeker can become when wisdom is replaced by ambition
